The show will be rounded off with a solo by Mehldau in the main section, and an opening with the Suite from Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar-winning film There Will Be Blood, with original soundtrack by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.

This work was co-commissioned by Orchestre national d'Île-de-France and Jazz à la Villette Festival, L’Auditori de Barcelona, The Witold Lutoslawski National Forum of Music, Wroclaw, Poland (Jazztopad Festival), The Barbican Centre London and Britten Sinfonia, and Philharmonie Luxembourg and Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, Gustavo Dudamel Artistic Director.
