Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto is considered essential for any international soloist and it is ‎also one of the most popular and most loved by audiences. On this occasion we are ‎privileged to have Canadian violinist James Ehnes with us, who recorded this concert in 2010 ‎and has performed it at prestigious venues around the world.‎

Juanjo Mena is enjoying a flourishing international career and we have invited him back to ‎conduct the OBC and to repeat the successes achieved in his previous seasons at L’Auditori. ‎This time he brings us Bruckner's Sixth Symphony, a rich, expressive, brilliant work full of ‎beautiful melodies. This is undoubtedly the most dazzling work of the "builder of cathedrals ‎of sound."‎
